Pet Waste Bag Replacement
Choosing the Best Product for Your Waste Station
There are quite a few terms used to describe bags that fit in pet waste stations: waste station bags, litter bags, pet waste bags. These bags are designed to fit inside pet waste station dispensers that are installed throughout parks and pathways in communities. These bags are used by HOAs, apartment communities, and cities to make it easier and more convenient for pet parents to clean up after their pup and do their part to keep their community healthy.
There are two common types of waste station bags: roll or header. Each is designed to fit different models of pet waste stations:
Roll Bags – These bags are connected together and need to be torn apart along a perforation between each bag, similar to produce bags in grocery stores. They are generally less expensive than header bags on a per-bag basis but tend to be more expensive overall. Since they are connected to one another, they are more susceptible to vandalism and theft, as someone can easily pull more than one, or even all of them, out at once. Roll bags often come in boxes, so it’s important to choose bags that have weather-resistant packaging since they may get wet. DoodyCalls offers the best in roll bags. Our roll bags fit the Master Chief ™, Commander®, and Admiral® models.
Header Bags – While different header bags may come with or without straps depending on the manufacturer, DoodyCalls’ header bags do have straps, which makes it easier to pull one bag at a time. Bags without straps require users to “pinch” a bag to pull it out. This can result in accidentally pulling two or more at once, leading to wasted bags.
Waste Bag Composition
Most pet waste bags are composed of different types of plastics. They often contain some mix of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) plastic, LDPE (low-density polyethylene) plastic, recycled and non-recycled plastic, scents, color additives, and other additives. Each of these components affects the look, feel, durability, and cost of bags.
Many bag suppliers do not disclose the formula of their bag composition, but we believe that a higher proportion of plastic allows for a stronger and more durable bag.. With this in mind, DoodyCalls has worked diligently to provide a bag with the perfect combination of materials and that is tough yet easy to use.
California and General Disclaimer: We do not make any claims regarding our bags in terms of “biodegradable” or “degradable” or “compostable” or in any way imply that the bags will break down in a landfill. In addition, these bags do not meet the ASTM D6400 standard for biodegradable plastic bags.
