We interviewed her to get the real deets about how she started Floof Club, her Floof Club goal, and why it’s one of the best pet-sitting services!

How Floof Club Began…

Before starting Floof Club, Ceilidh worked as a graphic designer and animator, and pet-sat on the side whenever she could. She has always loved animals and grew up with two dogs and a cat. After leaving home, she really missed having pets of her own and took pretty much any opportunity she could to be around animals.

When COVID restrictions started lifting, Ceilidh’s Rover account blew up, and pet-sitting requests picked up fast. Like a lot of people, she was ready for a change, and the thought of going back to an office honestly made her nauseous. Starting a business built around something she actually cared about felt like the next step she needed to take.

“If I were going to leap, I wanted to build something unique that considered both client and sitter needs. In November 2021, Floof Club officially became an LLC, and we’ve been sitting, marketing, and scritching ever since!” - Ceilidh

We asked Ceilidh what her goal was for her customers: “I want our customers to feel supported and heard so they can leave their homes with as little stress as possible. Leaving your pets can bring up a mix of emotions, and we don’t take that lightly. Our goal is to ease those worries and care for their pets (and homes) in ways they might not even expect — making sure everything is well cared for and ready for a smooth return.”

What Makes Floof Club Different Than Others

“I’ve never worked for a big professional pet sitting company, which I think gave me the freedom to build something from scratch instead of trying to follow a traditional industry model. I built Floof Club based on my own experience as both a sitter and a client, along with the feedback we get directly from our customers.”

Ceilidh makes sure to create a thoughtful and personal experience for everyone in Floof Club rather than a one-size-fits-all experience. They shape what they offer around what actually works for their clients and their sitters.
