Dog Resource Guide
Humane Societies and Animal Shelters
- Happy Tales Humane Society is located at 230 Franklin Rd. Suite 1303, Franklin, TN 37064. The animals are kept in foster homes and brought to the shelter on adoption days. Adoption days are: dogs – Saturday from11-4; cats – Tuesday – Friday 12-5 and Saturdays – 11-4.
- Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue is located at 615 Beech Creek Rd. S., Brentwood, TN 37027. Since 1990 they have been rescuing and placing Boxers in loving homes.
- Williamson County Animal Control primarily accept dogs and cats. Occasionally they will have other furry friends available. They are located at 138 Claude Yates Dr. next to Franklin High School. You may come adopt Monday-Friday from 10-6 or Saturday from 10-2.
Williamson County Dog Parks
- Maggie’s Bark Park is located at 138 Claude Yates Dr.Franklin TN. It is next to the Williamson County Animal Control facility and is open everyday from dawn until dusk. This park features two fenced areas, a quarter of a mile walking trail, lights, covered benches, a drinking fountain, and kiddy pools for your k-9 friends that love the water!
- Nolensville off-leash Dog Park is a wonderful place to visit with your four-legged friend! It is located in the heart of Nolensville on Rocky Fork Road.
