Local Laws and Ordinances that Affect Dog Owners
- Town of Duxbury, Massachusetts Dog Licensing - Dog Licenses are required for all dogs 6 months and older. A Rabies Certificate and proof of spaying or neutering must be presented when applying for license. All dog licenses expire March 31st of each year. Renewal of licenses for the following year can be done beginning in mid February. The yearly Town census contains instructions for dog licensing by mail.
Dog Parks and Dog Park Support Organizations
- Duxbury Beach - Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach from 8 a.m. till sunset year round, but from April 1st thru September 15th are not permitted on the front beach, known as the Resident Beach, and on the back beach north of the Powder Point Bridge.
