Local Laws and Ordinances that Affect Dog Owners

• Town of Canton, Massachusetts Dog Licensing - All dogs in the Town of Canton must be licensed by May 1 of each year. Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk at the Town Hall.  To obtain a license, proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination must be shown.

• Canton Animal Shelter - The Canton Animal Control Office/Animal Shelter is located at 150R Bolivar St – behind the Department of Public Works. They provide shelter, care and comfort to lost or homeless animals. Visit the site for a list of available dogs.
