Local Laws and Ordinances that Affect Dog Owners
- City of Attleboro, Massachusetts Dog Related Regulations - The City of Attleboro dog ordinance states “The owner or keeper of a dog shall pick and properly dispose of such dog’s excrement on any pubic place or private property not owned or controlled by such owner or keeper. Any owner or keeper of a dog in violation of this section shall be fined fifty dollars ($50.00), said penalty to be assessed in accordance with the provisions for the noncriminal disposition of violations in General Laws Chapter 40, Section 21D, as amended.”
The City of Attleboro will start sending a pet waste fact sheet to educate dog owners about picking up after their dogs. The notice is currently available at the Town Clerks office.
